What to expect

Looking for a riverboarding adventure? If so, this fun, exhilarating and sustainable activity is for you! Receive expert instructions and follow the force of the white water rapids for an incredible memory.

After a 15-minute drive from Cairns, feel excited as you approach the mighty Barron River in amongst the tropical rainforest. Smile as you're trapped into your helmet, safety vest, and introduced to your brightly colored riverboard.

Learn and feel secure whilst listening to the instructions from the expert. Then, take a deep breath, hold on tight and scream with delight as you move with the white water and rapids. By the end, you'll be in awe of what an incredible experience it is.

The maximum is 12 people per instructor
Minimum age is 12 years, but, those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
The activity is catered to a variety of fitness levels and the instructor will follow everyone’s pace, size, and ability. Instruction language is English
You must have at least a basic level of confidence to maneuver in the water
You'll be required to advise the local partner of any medical conditions, surgeries, impairments, or disabilities so they can be catered for. Contact details will be found in the voucher after booking
It is recommended to wear suitable waterproof clothing, suncream, sandals or flip flops and thick socks to help prevent fins from rubbing
