What to expect

The Ghost Canyoning trip, located just north of Banff and Banff National Park is one of the most secluded, wild and spectacular canyon trips you’ll experience anywhere. This all day adventure, that requires 4x4 access, rewards its visitors with remote mountain vistas and a canyon experience second to none.

Have tons of fun as you slide, rappel, and jump into pools! The straight forward nature of the rappels makes this a great trip even for beginners who are looking for a bit more, yet the phenomenal jumps, slides and surroundings, keep it interesting even for veteran canyoneers.

After meeting your guides at the staging area in the Heart Creek Trail parking lot, travel by van for 1.5-hours to the start of the canyon. From here take, a 30-45 min hike that will bring you to the top of both the Canyon sections, where you'll start your canyon adventure. Suit up, listen to a mandatory rappel and rope safety clinic, then the real fun begins!

Participants do not need any previous rope or rappelling experience, but they must be comfortable with heights
There are a total of 4 rappels, some scrambling and hiking
For safety purposes and to prepare your canyoning equipment prior to arrival - your height and weight will be requested at checkout
Please change into your bathing suit before arriving at the meeting point -There are no changing facilities
You will drive, then hike approx. 45-minutes to the top of the canyon prior to putting on the wetsuits
Bring with you: Pack a lunch, Bathing suit, Fleece or warm layers (optional but good for people who get cold easy), Rain jacket or hardshell or dry-top, Warm socks and a pair of sturdy outdoor shoes (trail running or light hiking shoes) that can get wet, Day pack to carry gear, A towel and extra clothes to change into after the trip
Upon arrival, you will be required to sign a 'waiver of liability'
Note, this trip may be subject to itinerary change, or in extreme cases, cancellation due to unexpected water levels and/or weather conditions
In the unlikely event of cancellation, booked participants will be offered a different date or providing a refund
