Balinese craftsmanship takes centre stage on this tour. You'll visit an artist's workshop, Ubud market and a stonemasons' village. Plus, you'll also drop into a family home and find out how the locals live.
To kick things off, there's a visit to an artist's workshop. Here you can admire paintings representing Balinese religion, landscapes and daily life. You'll also meet the creator of the pieces you see on display. The tour's artistic theme continues over at Ubud market. Practice your haggling skills as you browse the open-air stalls for handicrafts and textiles. Next up is the art village of Batubulan. Famous for producing stone sculptures and carvings, it's also popular for ‘Barong' – a traditional dance performance which portrays the story of good versus evil. While you're in the village, you can pick up some handmade souvenirs.
Round off the day at a typical Balinese family home, where you'll see first-hand how the locals live. Natter with the inhabitants and learn about their way of life. You couldn't wish for a more authentic experience.
