But before you visit one of the most famous villas on Lake Como, you'll scoot along the lake in a private boat so that you can capture it from the best angles. Sitting on the tip of the Lavedo promontory jutting out into the lake, it's a sight to behold – you'll soon see why it's a popular wedding destination – and once you're on dry land, you'll get to marvel at it all up close.
Wander around its renowned terraced gardens and delve into the lavishly furnished interiors with your guide. Admire the paintings, Chinese porcelain, tapestries and artefacts, which belonged to the previous owner, Count Guido Monzino, who acquired them on his travels.
