What to expect

Start the tour as you're picked up from your accommodation in Braga or Porto as you begin your full-day trip. After an hour and a half, the driver will stop the car in Pinhão, where the hike in the Douro Valley Vineyards starts. You'll stop in the middle of the trail for a pause.

During the walk, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the Douro and a magnificent view of this world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Valley while learning about the terroir of the Douro and its soil, landscape, climate, and its unique grape varieties. You will walk along the vineyards, olive, orange, and fig trees.

Afterward, you'll visit the Pinhão Train Station, one of the most beautiful building in the region, that's famous for its tiles. Your last stop will be a winery where you will be able to taste the delicious port wine before you begin your journey back to your accommodation.
