What to expect

Experience a kayaking adventure in the Soča valley.

After meeting your guide at the SportMix agency in Bovec, where you can leave your valuables in a locker, you will be handed your equipment for the tour.

A quick 5-10-minute drive takes you to your starting point where your guide will give you a briefing to prepare you for your trip. Now, it is time to glide on the mystical stretches and secret corners of the river and experience the wilderness of whitewater rapids. The untouched nature and striking contact with the river offer pure pleasure. Your guide will make sure that you'll feel absolutely safe and almost as a genuine kayaker on your descent.

The tour takes you on a quieter and calmer section of the river, which offers marvelous views on the surrounding peaks, including Slovenia's highest mountain, Triglav. Sit on top kayaks are a fantastic beginner-friendly intro into the whitewater world of kayaking, as they are easier to handle and offer more stability than classic whitewater kayaks.

Once you have completed your kayaking adventure through the Soca River, the van is already awaiting you to take you back to the city. In the office, you have time to check out the pictures taken by the guide, arrange the formalities and exchange farewells.
