Then swap culture for nature with lunch at the beach and a visit to a turtle rescue centre. Malee, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘You'll have some fun getting to grips with Thai Boxing moves, but the original purpose of Muay Thai was not about fun. It began centuries ago when the army developed battlefield tactics for unarmed combat. These ancient combat techniques eventually evolved into the popular sport we know today.'It's all about getting to know Thailand's authentic side on this tour. First, we'll stop by the local school to see how Thai children go about their morning routine. Next, it's on to a temple to offer the Buddhist monks a small donation in exchange for good karma and a sacred bracelet. There's time for a look around the colourful temple to take some photos, too.After the calm of the temple we'll raise the tempo and have a go at the high-flying kicks and powerful punches of Muay Thai boxing at a gym. After all that action you'll be ready for a typical Thai lunch at Sai Rung Waterfall's restaurant. You'll have some time to reflect at the Tsunami Memorial, before an extra-special treat – a chance to learn about, care and feed the elephants at a nearby seaside sanctuary. You'll round off your day with a visit to the turtle rescue and rehabilitation centre to find out about their work.

Zante - Zante Sunset Cruise on a Traditional Greek Boat

Sailing from Agios Sostis harbour in the south, you'll sail towards Marathonisi, a small islet known locally as Turtle Island. You'll captain will drop anchor offshore for an early-evening dip. See caves and, with luck, loggerhead turtles before cruising to the west coast to catch the sunset.And the spot where you'll see it is hard to beat. Near the Misithres Rocks, there's an amazing view of the sunset perfectly sinking beyond the horizon between the two formations. It makes for Insta-perfect snaps. The romantic atmosphere will accompany you back to port as you sail along to the sounds of waves lapping gently against the hull and live music while sipping on a sparkling wine.

Zante - Northern Zante Cruise with Cape Skinari and Xigia Beach
This cruise around the northern tip of Zante serves up plenty of camera-friendly scenery and swim stops in hidden coves. You'll see stretches of the island's most mesmerising coastline, including the Blue Caves and Smuggler's Cove – that famous Greek postcard of the rusting cargo ship on a pristine cliff-ringed beach. Chrissy, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘The sea around the Blue Caves seems to glow electric blue because the white limestone underwater reflects the sun through the azure water.' You'll get to catch Zante's top coastal draws in one relaxing boat trip. We'll scoot around Cape Skinari, famed for its lighthouse, cliffs, windmills and pastel-blue water. After about two hours at sea, we'll reach Smuggler's Cove. Back in the 80s, a ship carrying contraband cigarettes ran aground in this chalk-white, pebbly cove. Nowadays, in order to preserve the area, the beach itself is closed to visitors, however you'll still see the iconic views from the boat. Chrissy adds, ‘Zante's best-known beach is only accessible by boat and it's one of the most photographed spots in the whole of Greece. A crime gone wrong has left us with an unexpected treasure.'After a dip, you'll continue to the shimmering Blue Caves, where we'll pause for a photo stop. Carved into the cliffs, the sea-smoothed walls form arches over the dazzling blue waters. You'll have Greek snacks and drinks on board, followed by some time anchored at Xigia beach. We'll end the cruise on a high note with some entertainment – Greek dancing – as we bob back to shore.

Look out for the 18th century church of Church of Sant Francesc Xavier, which is the essence of simplicity.Next up are the epic views from Es Mirador, the island's highest point, and the iconic La Mola lighthouse. And last but by no means least, you'll have free time in the seaside village of Es Pujols. Here you can enjoy lunch at a beachside restaurant or just chill out on the silky sands lapped by turquoise waves. It's a scene that wouldn't look out of place in the south Pacific.

First, you'll explore the Maya ruins of Tulum, their only city by the sea, then while away the remaining hours at the Nopalitos lagoon, which only recently opened to the public. Its flat water, with virtually every shade of blue imaginable, changes before your eyes as the clouds drift above the lagoon.'You'll kick off with a guided tour of the archaeological site of the Maya city of Tulum – the only one they built on the coast. As you admire monuments such as the Temple of the God of Wind and El Castillo pyramid, you'll be treated to views over the Caribbean. Afterwards, you'll have some free time to either hit the beach – famed for its turtles – there or take a few more photos. Gustavo says, ‘Tulum is that perfect balance between culture and nature. You see all these iguanas lazing around the ruins of the city and turtles ambling along the beach.'Then, it's on to Nopalitos. This freshwater lagoon gets its name from its similarity to the pads of the nopal cactus, also known as the prickly pear. It's darker in the middle because there's a deep cenote there. It's ideal for relaxing or trying out some paddleboarding and kayaking. After lunch, you can hit the hammocks or dangle your feet over the water from the wooden jetty.

Have a poke around this isolated hamlet and enjoy a look into local life, before our final stop, Santa Monica beach. Boasting 15km of white sand and undulating dunes, it's no wonder it was voted one of the world's top 10 beaches. The perfect place to end the tour.
