What to expect
The Turgutreis market and street bazaar is shopaholic heaven. And on this tour, you'll spend the morning digging out the best bargains in leather goods and local ceramics at the bazaar, and soaking up the sights, sounds and scents of the food market. There's also free time to explore the seafront town.
Spend around 90 minutes exploring this renowned street market and bazaar. Wander past tightly packed stalls, laden with every kind of fruit and vegetable imaginable – and the banter between stallholders is street theatre in itself. Wander through shaded stalls, piled high with soft-knit pashminas, bejewelled slippers and hand-woven rugs. And rack after rack of soft leather bags, brightly painted pots and gleaming brass ornaments.
Be sure to haggle for the best price – it's expected, and it's all part of the bazaar experience. After, they'll be some free time on the seafront where you can continue the hunt for bargains, stop for lunch or even visit the town's mosque.
