What to expect

Enjoy a guided tour through the deep south of Tasmania! You'll drive past the many orchards of the Huon Valley and the historic village of Franklin to reach the Hastings Caves.

Once arrived, you will have the opportunity to swim in the thermal spring-fed pool or take a walk through the tall man ferns and rainforest before starting a guided tour of the largest dolomite cave open to visitors in Australia.

Then, you'll proceed towards the Huon Valley and Tahune Adventures. Enjoy a delicious lunch (not included) at the Kermandie Hotel (April to October) or at the Tahune Adventures café (November to March) depending on the season.

After lunch, you'll enjoy a walk amongst the treetops on a 30-metre-high steel airwalk at the Tahune AirWalk. You'll have the chance to walk out to the cantilever to stand 50 meters above the forest floor or to take a stroll on the Huon Pine Walk to admire the ancient trees.

It is recommended to bring a hat, sunscreen and swimwear and to wear comfortable walking shoes and a waterproof jacket
Please note that this tour involves a minimum amount of walking. 250 stairs with handrails lead in and out of the Hastings Caves
