What to expect

This special wildlife tour explores the wildlife of Far North Queensland at Wildlife Habitat, before embarking on an adventure into the Daintree Rainforest for a day of culture and swimming at Mossman Gorge.

You will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to swim with two saltwater crocodiles by entering the aquatic territory with 2 of the mighty estuarine crocodiles. This experience is the only one of its kind in Queensland and allows you to swim eye-to-teeth with these terrifying apex predators and live to tell the tale!

At Wildlife Habitat you can hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies, observe cassowaries, watch the koala presentation, crocodile feeding show, and Lumholtz’s Tree kangaroos. You'll get to enjoy many of the wildlife presentations. Afterward, it's time for a short bus for a short drive to the Daintree Rainforest and Mossman Gorge.

Arriving at Mossman Gorge, home to the Daintree Rainforest, you will enjoy a delicious lunch, followed by a refreshing swim in the in the crystal clear stream of Mossman Gorge, and a guided walk through the Daintree Rainforest.

Important to know

Know in advance:

It's recommended to wear your swimming costume under your clothes to maximize the swimming time
Pickup times: 7:30am Cairns; 8.00am Northern Beaches; 8.45am Port Douglas. The pickup time is approximate, please allow for arriving 5 minutes early and delays. After the tour, you'll be dropped off at your accommodation
Please inform the local operator of any food preferences, also please state if it is a preference or an allergy

Swimming costume
Hiking boots or sneakers
Mosquito repellent (preferably nontoxic/natural)
A jumper in the colder months (May to August)
A rain jacket in the rainy season (November to March)
