What to expect

Visit the Salzburg Cathedral. Book directly to your ticket also an audio guide for exciting information about the cathedral!

Salzburg Cathedral is the center of the city. Experience historical and Christian contexts through a sacred cultural building. Salzburg Cathedral represents centuries of church rule. It is an early baroque jewel that had no precedent north of the Alps.

In addition to admission to the cathedral, book an audio guide in German or English. This allows for an informative, exciting tour of the Episcopal Church at your own pace. If you would like to make your own way through the cathedral with the audio guide, you can choose between three tours on site: the Classic Tour, the Short Tour and the Children's Tour.
The Classic Tour, which lasts 30 minutes, draws attention to all the Cathedral's special features and also tells a bit about Salzburg's history. Apart from the 17 audio texts, the audio guide also offers musical samples at the in-depth stations - because cathedral music has a centuries-old tradition in Salzburg. The 15-minute short tour is intended for all those who are in a hurry but still want to find out about the most important things. The children's audio guide (15 min) is aimed at the very young audience and makes the building tangible in a way that is suitable for children. Together with Anna and Felix, our cathedral guide Josef explores the bishop's church and answers all the children's questions. So the way through the cathedral is fun and exciting.
