What to expect

Discover a full-day hike up to 2135 feet which requires a high fitness level and gives you an incredible experience in nature. This adventure will take you to Taquara Hills, caves, ruins of old coffee farms, the biggest waterfall in the park called Taunay, and more.

On this Tijuca Forest hike, you’ll walk in a circuit of trails designed by experts of this National Park. Off the beaten track, you’ll discover the nature and vibrant tropical rainforest, crossing streams over suspension bridges. At Taquara Hills, you'll be at 814 metere /2,670 feet, a 100 m higher than the Christ Redeemer Statue. Marvel at magnificent views to the valley of Tijuca Forest and the West of Rio, on clear days.

After the hike, refresh yourself showering in a waterfall (bring towel and bathing suit). The scenery of this tour is amazing and more than nature, it has a lot of adventurous moments inside the rainforest visiting sites that are not featured in most tours. Also, learn the history of Rio, all about the coffee farms, and more.

Minimum age is 13+ if accompanied by a parent or another adult responsible, who must sign a waiver statement, and it's important that the child is willing to participate and capable to do so
