What to expect

The views and atmosphere you'll experience on this tour will reveal why it's so special. A half-day with hiking trails of Tijuca Rainforest National Park including stops at Pedra Bonita summit with possible views of Pedra da Gavea, Chinese View Belvedere and more.

Start from being collected and arrive at the destination where the hike starts, feel your excitement. Then, you'll hike about 3.5 kilometers to a height of about 667 feet through the distinctive Tijuca forest. Next, Pedra Bonita summit is the destination which is 2823 feet high followed by stunning views of the ocean and Pedra da Gavea on clear days which is the famed majestic flat rock and the biggest monolith close to the ocean in the world.

Return hiking at Tijuca Rainforest (National Park) and try to spot wildlife like toucans, coatis and monkeys. A stop by the Chinese View Belvedere is also included which has one of the very few spots in the city where you can get Christ Redeemer, Sugar Loaf, the beach and the lagoon in the same frame.

Please ensure you have the level of fitness for the hiking required. This tour is not recommended for sedentary people or with a record of cardiovascular or lung problems
