What to expect

Exercise and experience hiking with a private guide on this complete half-day nature adventure. You'll see views of the city, coastline and the rainforest around Tijuca Forest.

Once collected and arrive at the destination where the hike starts, feel your excitement. Then, spend about 50 minutes going uphill, reaching the top and seeing the famous majestic flat rock. From this summit, you'll also witness the West coast of Rio, Barra area with its lagoons and mangrove, plus Ipanema and Leblon beaches and Dois Irmãos Hill.

Feel the atmosphere as you go through Tijuca Rainforest (National Park), one of the largest urban forests in the world with more than 40 km2. On the way up, it may be possible to see some wildlife like toucans, monkeys and more. Learn about the history of Rio, Tijuca Forest and coffee farms. The tour also includes a visit to another sector of the Tijuca Park, stopping by the Chinese View Belvedere, with views to the Southern side and one of the very few spots in the city where you can get Christ Redeemer, Sugar Loaf, the beach and the lagoon in the same frame.
