What to expect

Join a nature inspired experience to the Seven Rila Lakes with this activity in which you can choose to have a guide or not.

You'll start at the meeting point in Sofia and feel relaxed as you observe the scenes during the hour and a half travel to the Panichishte Resort cable car. Once there, you'll be transported to the Seven Rila Lakes Cirque.

The distinctive atmosphere of being surrounded by nature appears, and you'll discover that all seven of the lakes have their own name which reflects their typical shape or characteristics. Plus, they are situated between 2,100 and 2,500 meters above sea level. In winter, they are frozen over and covered in snow; in summer, once melted, they transform into a vibrant green. The hiking path is of moderate difficulty, and you'll walk about four to five hours. From the last lake, magnificent panoramic views unfold to complete the experience and leave you in awe.
