Day 2: Morning, heading to Beng Mealea, a Hindu Temple which is located about 60 kilometers from Siem Reap town. The jungle covers over a 1-square kilometer area of the temple and it was built around the end of the 11th century before Angkor Wat, but there is no inscription or details are unknown. With a very little restoration, you can walk through mysterious archeological sites with a sense of adventure. Afternoon visit Banteay Srei, the temple translates to ‘citadel of women’ modern appellation that probably refers to the delicate beauty of the carvings Banteay Srei displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art.
