What to expect

Enjoy a private guided tour of all ancient temples in Siem Reap province, where most parts are recognized by UNESCO such as Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm, Banteay Srey, and Tonle Sap lake, the largest freshwater lake in Asia. This is a three-day tour itinerary that can offer you a fascinating experience with the culture, civilization, and history of Khmer.

On the first day, meet your guide and driver at the lobby of your hotel at around 8am. Then go to Angkor Thom, which includes the South gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Bapoun, Pimean Akas, Terrece of Elephant, Terrace of Leper king, Taprom temple, Angkor Wat temples. On the second day, you will travel to the small temple of Banteay Srei, Beng Mealea and Rolous Temple Group, with Bakong, Lolei and Preah Ko.

On the last day, you will visit Chong Kneas, the largest of the floating villages in the province with three ethnicities living side by side on the margins of the lake and you will admire the Artisans d'Angkor workshop, where skilled artists produce gorgeous pieces of lacquer, stone carvings, and silver plating. If you don't find your souvenirs and gifts here then perhaps the Old Market will have what you are looking for. Browse and use your bartering skills to bring home your memories of Siem Reap.

Important to know

  • Short shorts and sleeveless shirts are forbidden in holy places. This applies of course to the entire archaeological park of Angkor
  • Do not touch the monuments
  • Talking loudly is frowned upon in Cambodia and even more so in Angkor Park. You should refrain from loud shouting, screaming, and shrill laughter
  • Since 2012 a total smoking ban throughout Angkor Park has been in place, including outside the temple
  • Please never buy anything from children. Often they are kept away from school in order to sell items. Although this may not be true in all families, there is not usually time to check if this child also attends school. If you want to do something good, then find out about the best local charitable organizations
  • If you want to take a photo of a monk, ask them first, do not simply just take a photo. It is very important that women should not touch the monks. Touching of monks clothing is also considered taboo
