What to expect

Chengdu, with its profound history, was once the place where the ancient Shu State was located. These city sightseeing trips bring you to the main downtown attractions, old street, and the local Sichuan snacks. Spend a full day with a local insider to explore the city highlights and taste delicious Sichuan food. Drive to visit Qingyang Palace which is a Taoism temple with a history of more than 1,000 years. Then visit the Thatched Cottage of Du Fu, the former residence of a very famous Tang poet. Du Fu wrote more than 240 poems at this cottage reflecting the sorrows of the village. Later have lunch in a local nice restaurant to taste Sichuan cuisine. In the afternoon, continue sightseeing to the Wuhou Temple (Memorial Temple of Marquis Wu), which is built for memorial of one Shu kingdom premier during the Three Kingdom period. Have a relaxing walking at old Jinli Old street to experience the local lifestyle, taste delicious local snacks, and pick your preferred souvenirs.
