What to expect

If you are a foodie, this tour is designed especially for you. It is a perfect introduction to Hong Kong’s food where the tour takes you to high-quality Michelin Guide local eateries where the locals go. You will start your day with a traditional Dim Sum breakfast in an old tea house where you will be transported back to a bygone era as you sample the most authentic Dim Sum available in HK in this restaurant with a 90-year history. The next stop is a family-run Wonton Noodle shop that dates back to the 1960s. Wonton Noodles are a local food specialty, a simple dish but one that only a true master can perfect. Then, to wash everything down, you will try the famous Hong Kong milk tea that everyone loves.

After your tea break, you will travel by Ding Ding (tram), one of the oldest forms of transportation in Hong Kong, to another family-run restaurant, which dates back to the Qing Dynasty (pre-1900’s) and is renowned for its roast meat. Here you get to try the best Char Siu (BBQ pork) in Hong Kong. On your tram journey, you will learn about the buildings of key historical importance of Hong Kong. To finish off the tour, you will try the famous egg tart which has a flaky crust and eggy custardy filling.

Throughout the tour, you will get a chance to visit a dried seafood shop and learn about the medicinal purposes of seafood and herbs and other ingredients traditionally used in medicinal soups, visit a local tea shop and try a variety of preserved candies and tea, visit an old family-run Soy Sauce producer to learn about "Kings of Sauces".
