What to expect
Croatia boasts some of the most beautiful parklands in Europe. Take a full day to explore the amazing Plitvice Lakes National Park, an unspoilt nature sanctuary with cascading waterfalls and a myriad of lakes that are accessible via kilometres of wooden walkways.
Journey inland through the scenic Croatian hills, arriving at the heavily forested Plitvice Lakes National Park – almost on the border with Bosnia-Herzegovina. Admire how the park's 16 crystalline lakes seem to almost tumble into each other across the landscape.
Follow the 18km of wooden bridges and pathways around the lakes learning all about the local flora and fauna from your knowledgeable guide, and often being escorted by hosts of beautiful butterflies. Explore the lakes by foot, and also take a pleasant boat journey across Kozjak, the park's largest lake. Without doubt, one of the highlights of the excursion is a trip to the magnificent 78-metre-high Veliki Slap waterfall – the tallest in Croatia.

You'll tour the Kabola and Cattunar wineries to get the lowdown on their production processes and then raise a glass or two to celebrate their dedication and passion.First up we'll head to Kabola winery, a tradional stone farm in a peaceful spot with a panoramic view across the vines.
