What to expect
Sitting at opposite ends of the Gulf of Kastela, Split and Trogir offer two contrasting visions of the past. Split is a bustling city built around a Roman emperor's palace while Trogir is a medieval town set upon an islet – and both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
First, you'll visit Split, the hub of the Dalmatian coast. The star of the show is the vast third century palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian. Today it doubles as Split's old town and has been used to film Game of Thrones. You'll visit two markets and grab a typical snack at Mlinice Pantana, before heading to Trogir.
Stacked with medieval palaces and churches, and a Romanesque-Gothic cathedral, it packs a lot of heritage into its narrow, cobbled streets. You'll also visit two markets here before returning to your resort.

Standing tall over Makarska, the Biokovo mountain range is a sight to behold – and explore. You'll venture into Biokovo Nature Park on this half-day panoramic tour, which brings you close to nature without the need for hiking long distances. The great outdoors don't come any greater than Krka National Park, one of Croatia's wildest natural treasures. You'll get a chance to breathe in the freshest of airs and explore the waterfall-splashed landscape of Skradinski Buk. There's also a visit to Stella Croatica, famous for its handmade goods.Krka National Park is a place of thundering waterfalls, lakes and riverside walks. But before arriving, you'll visit Stella Croatica - where you'll be able to taste some local handmade delicacies. Once at the park, you'll have the day to stroll along the wooden waterside walkways, and you'll also have the opportunity to learn about local traditions and visit a historic water mill.But the park's crowning glory is Skradinski Buk – a huge natural pool with 17 cascading waterfalls bursting through the trees. You'll also be able to spot nightingales, herons, falcons, owls and more with a bit of luck. Here, you'll have time for some lunch.
