What to expect

Hygge is a concept that is difficult to describe and is best experienced on a slow-paced walk with a local at your side. Once you have it in you, you’ll understand why Danes are some of the happiest people in the world. So join this tour to take a peek at the local life in Copenhagen and find your own happy hygge place.

You will begin this experience near the characteristic and super charming yellow houses of Nyboder, a famed historical district beloved by the locals for its calm atmosphere. You will walk through its small streets and you will quickly notice that the tour takes you through some of the oldest parts of Copenhagen. Here you’ll experience hidden gems in the form of cobblestone filled streets, timber-framed houses and green refuges of calm amongst the urban sprawl.

You will then get all of your senses tingling as you sample some Danish delights and world-renowned pastries such as Danish flødeboller. It’s not just about eating, but about experiencing it together! Before taking your first bite or sip, don’t forget to tune in as your guide tells you everything about the significance of these treats for Danish hygge culture.

You will then escapte the urban sprawl and head into beautiful green havens or tucked-away alleyways that ooze with history. You will hear the spectacular and dramatic stories of how Copenhagen came to be, with sights of miniature and grand castles in the backdrop.

Your tour will conclude at a cute café in town where you will sit down and enjoy a liquid cup of joy. Following the tour you can stay for some more hygge or you can go exploring the city. Your guide will be happy to share some of their best recommendations for your stay in the city.
