What to expect

Want to see an amazing mixture between ancient and modern Egyptian people, then let us offer you unforgettable trip to El- Fayoum Oasis. The Faiyum Oasis is a depression or basin in the desert immediately to the west of the Nile south of Cairo in Egypt. It includes the famous Joseph's Canal, though to have been built by the biblical Joseph. The city's dominate attractions are the water wheels built by the Greek settlers, the canals, and the Obelisk which stands at the city's northern entrance and many ancient Egyptian monuments.

Your visit includes Lake Qaroun nature reserve, the oldest in the world, is distinguished by its matchless environmental and natural assets. Lake Qaroun is a safe haven and warm cradle for thousands of migrant birds fleeing the severe cold of Europe. It is also the incubator and the happy nest that embraces infant birds on the lake islets during reproduction time. Various kinds of fish live in the lake waters, while many species of mammals, reptiles and birds live in this wonderful reserve. .

Also El Fayoum is famous for its more than 200 waterwheels, which have become a prominent symbol of the town and the oasis. The waterwheels are considered one of the most important features in Fayoum. These land marks deserve a short photo stop. Resume driving to Meidum Pyarmid. Started as a Step Pyramid but then converted into a true pyramid. The pyramid was never completed due to a design fault which caused it to collapse. Because of its unusual appearance, the pyramid is called el-heram el-kaddaab in Arabic(Pseudo Pyramid).
