What to expect

Discover the Cretan olive oil and wine history, culture and traditions.

After getting acquainted with your guide and following a short briefing, you'll head towards the village of Spilia, where you'll enjoy a unique olive oil tasting experience that will give you a better perspective of the island's largest agricultural industry: olive oil production. This tour will then bring you to the highest peak of the Giouhtas mountain, where you'll enter a pine forest looking for the small church of Christ the Lord. Enjoy the view of the valley with Archanes, Psiloritis, Dikti and Heraklion. You'll also have the opportunity to search for herbs and observe vultures finding refuge on the steep cliffs. At this point, it will be time for the Fabrika Experience at the Titakis winery, during which you'll be made to follow, step by step, all the process of wine making. Of course, the visit will end with a wine tasting, after which you'll be driven back to your hotel or accomodation.

minimum age for joining this activity is 5; moreover, it's mandatory that minors are accompanied by at least one adult
please note that people under 18 aren't allowed to drink alcohol; minors can participate in the winery tour and tasting, but they'll be offered a non-alcoholic drink instead of wine

Not suitable for:

due to uneven and steep surfaces, this activity isn't suitable for anyone who has difficulty walking
