Do this because

  • Come and discover the magical island of Inishbofin on foot
  • Enjoy a delicious lunch while you watch a documentary about the island
  • Take in the views from the water as you sail to the island

What to expect

After your scenic bus trip from Galway City, board the ferry at the small fishing village of Cleggan and set sail to this small island taking in the coastal land and seascapes of the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way.

Walk the short distance from the ferry to the hotel and enjoy some delicious homemade soup and sandwiches while watching a short documentary about the fascinating history and heritage of the island. Then it's time to explore the island with a refreshing walk around the scenic Westquarter Loop. Inishbofin has a selection of official looped walks and many activities and sites to see. You could even make the most of the island's nature and do some bird watching!

After your walk, you'll return to the hotel for some freshly brewed tea or coffee and homemade scones before boarding the ferry back to the mainland and your bus back to Galway City.
