You will start with a bird’s-eye view across the Old City, visit the Garden of Gethsemane and enter the Old City via the Lion’s Gate. It may be possible to take in the view of Temple Mount from the rooftop of Al Omeria School that stands at the start of the Via Dolorosa.
The tour continues to the Sisters of Zion Monastery and the 1st-century Struthion Pool. See the lithostrotos flagstones where Roman soldiers flogged Jesus and the remains of the Ecce Homo arch built in 130AD. The tour follows the Via Dolorosa and pauses at the 7th Station of the Cross where according to Orthodox-Catholic tradition, the Gate of Justice once stood.
You will then visit the Western Wall, see the Roman Cardo and spend time at the Room of the Last Supper and see David’s Tomb on Mount Zion. The last stop is at the Dormition Abbey, built on the site where Mary fell into an eternal sleep.
