Visit a unique food museum located in the magnificent rural complex of the former Foro Boario in Langhirano, the heart of the classic Parma Ham production zone. Discover the history of this famous cured ham and complete the visit with a tasting at the Museum's Prosciutteria.
Photos and historical documents, tools, machinery and films tell the story of the production process of the prized products of Parma's charcuterie art on a journey from ancient pork butchery to the methods of today's production: from pig breeds to the fundamental importance of salt, from the methods of the ancient production art to the delicacies of gastronomy and the role of the Parma Ham Consortium in safeguarding quality and the unique pleasure of tasting.
