Dive into the world of the famous Parmigiano Reggiano and visit a Parmesan cheese factory.
At arrival, you will receive a traditional Reggiana breakfast with a coffee or cappuccino, and a croissant or local pie Erbazzone Reggiano made of vegetables and Parmigiano. After breakfast, it is time to put on your lab coats and head to the factory. Witness the cheesemaking process, from the milk cooking to the salting and maturing. To make the cycle complete you will then see the farm where the cows are bred and the milk is mold.
Your host Claudio has spent his childhood on the grounds of the factory belonging to his grandfather. He is passionate about cheese and happy to share his passion with you. To finish your tour, you will enjoy a cheese tasting of various Parmigiano cheeses, salumi, and other local products served with a glass of red Lambrusco wine.
