Perched on a clifftop overlooking sweeping bays, Taormina is home to some of the best-preserved historic landmarks in the world. Take time to sip a cappuccino in the Piazza Nove Aprile, browse the chic boutiques, or check out the town's star attraction – its ancient Greek-Roman theatre. Whatever you do, you'll have plenty of free time to explore one of the prettiest towns in Italy.
Once you've had your fill of sightseeing, it's on to Mount Etna – Europe's highest volcano. But the coach can only take you so far. So you'll grab a cable car or an all-terrain vehicle and journey up to 2,900 metres for the grandstand views atop this historic landmark.

Mount Etna Sunset Tour with Sicilian Dinner

This drama-rich tour takes you to Mount Etna – a must-visit when in Sicily. The answer is simple – volcanic soil is extremely fertile, and you'll see traditional crops like vines and citrus fruits, plus newcomers such as avocados and papaya growing here.'Make sure you're wearing comfortable walking shoes and warm layers – it gets cold at high altitude. After admiring the views from near the summit, an expert alpine guide will take you to a less exposed 2,500m, where you'll watch the sunset in a more comfortable location. Then on the way back, we'll stop at a chalet restaurant for a typical Sicilian dinner.
