This tour offers an opportunity to enjoy the unspoiled Kenya Coast, its beautiful scenario over the turquoise sea, the remarkable mangrove islands, and experience the local Shirazi people traditions. You will then head to Bodo beach where your guide will explain the day program while you are having a light Swahili breakfast. The crew members of the Arabian Dhow sill take you on a cruise along the breathtaking Funzi Creek passing by the uninhabited islands and natural mangrove forests. Right on Funzi Island, you can visit the historic fishing village which formerly has been connected to the Slave trade. After the visit to the village and school, you will proceed towards a unique sandbar, which emerges from the sea when there is low tide, you can then decide to go for a swim or simply wander around on the pure white sand in the middle of the sea.
Continue to sail through the islands of Kinazini, which are also uninhabited, where a sumptuous seafood lunch will be ready for you with a selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian menu at your choice. After lunch, you will explore on small motorized boats to the nearby Ramisi river and with some luck, you might also get to see crocodiles in the wild, and many species of birds. A late afternoon cruise will take you back to Bodo and then to your hotel.
Depending on the tides, the tour might be reverted and start from the visit to the river first.
