Drive to The Blue Grotto. The Blue Grotto consists of several sea caves on the southern coast of Malta, west of the Wied iz-Zurrieq harbor and across the small uninhabited islet of Filfla. Every day from sunrise until about 1.00 am, a unique sight can be observed here. The location of the cave, combined with the sunlight, causes the water to be mirrored showing numerous shades of blue. If weather permits, you can do a 25-minute boat trip around the caves, at an extra cost.
Then, head to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk. Marsaxlokk is a very popular attraction for both tourists and locals because you can get there fresh fish and seafood. The market is also interesting as many different items are sold. Although the market was originally a fish market, it has developed and now it also sells locally produced honey, fruit jams, wine as well as vegetables, souvenirs and clothes. You'll enjoy your free time in this picturesque village to explore at your own pace.
