What to expect
Be one of the first visitors of the day to explore Ek Balam, one of the most important places in the Tlalol kingdom. Climb the pyramids to admire a panoramic view of the Mayan jungle at your feet and learn all the secrets of this archeological site, before spending some free time exploring on your own.
While on this tour, you'll visit one of the seven wonders of the modern world, Chichen Itza. This National Geographic Day Tour is a journey into the deepest aspects of Mayan culture, bridging the gap between the tempting beauty of the cenotes the region is so famous for, and the significance they hold in local tradition. You'll begin the day with a descent into either Abuelo or Zoi Che cenote, where you can choose to enjoy a cooling dip. These water-filled caverns offer a tangible connection to the Mayan way of life.
