What to expect

Feel like a Medieval monarch during this guided tour in Krakow! Explore the Wawel Hill with Royal Chambers and the Cathedral and follow the Royal Route to the Market Square. Visit the largest square in Europe both on the surface and underground.

Wawel Castle has been the residence of Polish kings for centuries. Now its chambers display a collection of paintings, graphics, sculptures, fabrics, goldsmiths, military items, porcelain and furniture. See the famous tapestries of Zygmunt August and magnificent Renaissance Italian paintings from the Lanckoronski collection. Enter also the Wawel cathedral and see the magnificent tombs of Polish monarchs.

After a lunch break included in the price, it's time to explore the Market Square! For almost 800 years it has been the central square of Royal Cracow. Imagine trade rows selling goods from all over the world and Krakow merchants making their fortunes from it, the city authorities strictly monitoring the order, the suspects tortured in the dungeons of the Town Hall and the kings parading through the square to get to their castle. Take a walk on one of the most beautiful squares in Europe with a visit to the Dungeon Market Historical and Archaeological Museum and learn everything about the history of this place!

The Wawel Cathedral is an active place of religious worship. During important religious, state or jubilee events or visits of important guests, admission to the cathedral, royal tombs or the bell tower may be suspended without announcing the reasons. In such a situation, the local operator will replace the entrance to the Cathedral with another one within the castle complex
