What to expect
Enjoy a unique private tour off the beaten track between the Barrocal hills and the white villages that offer travellers in search of escape an authentic look. You'll meet your guide at your accommodation, to head to Paderne, which reflects the rural life of the Algarve, and will continue along a pretty track lined with century-old olive trees and orange groves, You will be able to immortalize these landscapes during the ascent in 4X4 of the 'Yellow Rock'.
Then, you'll continue with a walking tour of the charming village of Alte with its white houses and typical chimneys before discovering a spring or a bucolic waterfall (depending on the season) with transparent waters.
Last but not least, you will finish with a trail that climbs to the top of a mountain where we will share a convivial aperitif. An old windmill and a 360° view of the Serra de Caldeirão will be part of this moment of exclusivity and change of scenery.

You'll visit Faro, Olhao, and Tavira and travel through beautiful countryside in the Ria Formosa National Park. Sofia, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘This excursion is special because it brings the local culture to life. You'll see a performance of Fado music which is the heart of Portuguese tradition, a soulful singer fronts a group of musicians and together they convey passion, struggle, and longing. It's a hugely significant part of Portuguese culture.'We'll begin in Faro, the regional capital, where you'll have free time to explore the old town – the cathedral is a must-see. Next up is Olhao, a village on the banks of the Ria Formosa. You'll visit its famous fish market and then enjoy free time for lunch and shopping. Seville Cultural Tour with Local Guide from the Algarve
