Zanzibar offers great dive experience for both beginners and advanced divers. With its coral reefs, colourful marine life and one of the most popular dive sites - Mnemba Atoll Marine Reserve - it is a real diver's heaven.
You'll cruise along the east coast of the island from Muyuni, drifting by cliffs to Mnemba Island. Once you reach Mnemba Atoll Conservation Area, you'll enjoy your superb diving adventure. You can choose among different dive courses available and marvel at the vibrant waters of the Indian Ocean.

Important to know
- 1 Dive - half-day local dive
- Discover scuba diving - 20 to 30 Minutes theory training , followed by 20 minutes pool plus confined water training
- 2 Dives - 1 day
- 4 Dives - 2 days
- 6 Dives - 3 days
- Scuba Diver Course - This is a 2-day course. On day 1: 2-3 hours watching a movie and completion of modules, followed by 1-2 hours of pool/confined water training. On day 2: 2 dives to 12 meters maximum
- 8 Dives - 4 days
- Open Water Diver Course E-learning - The online theory is checked and marked. Day 1: 2 hours of pool/confined water training, followed by 2 local dives to 12 meters. Day 2: 2 dives to 18 meters usually at Mnemba Atoll. Plus, a final exam on returning from Mnemba
- Advanced Open Water Diver Course - This is a 2-day course with 5 dives. On Day 1: 2 dives. Day 2: 3 dives, with a night dive as a usual option. Deep and Navigation dives are compulsory
- 10 - Dives - 5 days
- Rescue Diver Course - This is 2-day course. Day 1: 2-3 hours theory, flowed by land base rescue scenarios. Day 2: 3-4 hours of rescue scenarios in confined Water
- Open Water Diver Course - This is a 3-day course. On day 1: 3-4 hours watch a movie, and completion of modules. On day 2: 2 hours pool/confined water training, followed by 2 local dives to 12 meters. On day 3: 2 dives to 18 meters usually at Mnemba Atoll. Final exam on returning from Mnemba
- Divers are required to show a valid PADI - Diving Qualification
- The pickup area coverage includes: Kendwa and Nungwi
- The minimum age for participants is 12 years old apart from the advanced course with a minimum age of 18
- Please note, children are not allowed in the following courses: Advanced Open Water Diver Course and Rescue Diver Course
- Please note, if you decide to go to Mnemba Atoll or Leven Banks, an additional charge of USD 30.00, per person per day, has to be paid on.site for each package/course

You'll understand more about our island once you have explored the village and visited the seaweed centre, which empowers local women and sells great wellness products – use them at home and the scent will remind you of Zanzibar.'First up, we'll make our way to the village of Muyuni on the south coast of Zanzibar. Here you'll set off on a guided tour while getting to know the locals and watching rural life unfold in the community. Then it's time to make your way to the next stop of the day – Paje seaweed centre, a socially responsible business which allows local women to make a living as seaweed farmers, growing and collecting the crop on the splendid nearby beaches.Before you tour the facilities, you'll have free time for lunch, then you'll take a look around the factory where the local seaweed farmers will be at work harvesting and processing. A variety of beauty and wellness products are available for purchase, too. Lastly, it's over to the renowned The Rock Restaurant, famous for its location in the middle of the Indian Ocean where you'll see it from the outside and have the chance to take photos.

Zanzibar Seafari Snorkelling Boat Tour
With snorkelling at the famed Mnemba Atoll marine conservation area, this full-day tour is Zanzibar through and through. You'll cruise on a wooden dhow boat to snorkel amongst coral reefs and have a seafood feast for lunch on board.Firstly, you'll go to the dive centre in Kendwa to grab your equipment and be briefed on the day ahead. Then board the dhow boat for a cruise along the northeast coast of Zanzibar to Mnemba Atoll – hopefully you'll spot dolphins along the way. Your first snorkelling session will be at Kitchwani coral reef, a steep reef that seemingly disappears into an abyss.The next will be at the colourful coral gardens, where exotic marine species swim through the seagrass. It's then time for a tasty seafood lunch, with plenty of drinks and fruit to go around. Afterwards, you can chill out by spreading out a towel on-deck as we sail back to port.
