What to expect
Home to the famous Zanzibar red colobus monkey, Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park makes for a sensory trip. This half-day private tour takes you into the island's only national park to walk along its nature trails and amongst some fascinating wildlife.
You'll arrive at the forest in Jozani Chwaka National Park in the mid-morning ready to step foot on territory that's home to endangered red colobus monkeys, bush babies, duikers, butterflies and birds. And once you've got your eye trained on the treetops, you'll be in for a chance of spotting these elusive creatures as you make tracks through the park.
Zanzibar is the only place where you can spot red colobus monkeys as well as many other types including Sykes' monkeys. Your own guide will be on hand to help you find them and fill you in on their habits and more. After a two-hour ramble in the forest, you'll be back at your hotel for lunchtime.

Then it's time to make your way to the next stop of the day – Paje seaweed centre, a socially responsible business which allows local women to make a living as seaweed farmers, growing and collecting the crop on the splendid nearby beaches.Before you tour the facilities, you'll have free time for lunch, then you'll take a look around the factory where the local seaweed farmers will be at work harvesting and processing. A variety of beauty and wellness products are available for purchase, too. Zanzibar Seafari Snorkelling Boat Tour
With snorkelling at the famed Mnemba Atoll marine conservation area, this full-day tour is Zanzibar through and through. You'll cruise on a wooden dhow boat to snorkel amongst coral reefs and have a seafood feast for lunch on board.Firstly, you'll go to the dive centre in Kendwa to grab your equipment and be briefed on the day ahead. Then board the dhow boat for a cruise along the northeast coast of Zanzibar to Mnemba Atoll – hopefully you'll spot dolphins along the way.
