What to expect

Experience the thrill of surfing with your family in the beautiful coastal town of Newquay.

These private family surf lessons are exclusive to you and they are perfect for beginners and those looking to improve their skills. When you arrive you’ll receive a warm welcome from your friendly surf coach. After a quick overview of the lesson, you’ll learn some tips on how to wriggle into your wetsuit before heading to the best suited beach of the day. The experienced instructors will guide you through the basics of surfing, from paddling to standing up on the board. All the necessary equipment will be provided, including wetsuits and surfboards, so all you need to bring is a sense of adventure and a willingness to have fun.

The lessons are broken down into bite-size chunks so everyone quickly understands what to do and how to get the best out of the session and they are designed with fun and safety in mind. All surf coaches hold Beach Lifeguard qualifications and ISA Surf Coaching awards as standard.

Please note that this activity is not suitable for children under 8 years old
The price includes a surfing lesson for a family of up to 4 people
All the equipment is provided, however, please arrive with swimwear on (to wear under your clothes) flip flops or shoes for the beach, and a towel
The activity will last for 2 hours from once your group is ready, please allow 3 hours in total
Plastic tubs and storage areas for your belongings are available. All belongings are left at the owner's risk
