Not suitable for:

  • pregnant women, people with mobility impairments or who may have difficulty walking (entrance to the Upper Antelope Canyon is flat, but there will be stairs at the exit); travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level

Not allowed:

  • any bags to be brought on the walking tour at the Antelope Canyon
  • tripods, monopods and selfie sticks
  • videos (only photos allowed)
  • animals

Extra fees to be paid on-site:

  • $5 service fee per person, cash only
  • $3.00-5.00 per person in cash for the Navajo guide's gratuity

Know in advance:

  • the Antelope Canyon requires guests to arrive 50 minutes prior to the tour's starting time
  • guided walking tour inside the slot canyons will last about 1 hour
  • please note that the Antelope Canyon operates on the same time zone as Page and Phoeanix, in Arizona, while the Navajo Nation and Utah are on different time zones; please plan your driving time and arrival according to Page and Phoenix
  • any decision to close the Antelope Canyon due to the weather comes from the Antelope Canyon operators and/or Navajo Parks and Recreation; the local tour operator doesn't have control over these closures
  • no refund will be offered for having been escorted out of the canyon for not following the rules

  • appropriate clothing based on the weather conditions and comfortable walking shoes
