What to expect

The famous Gettysburg is located in Adams County and in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The Battle of Gettysburg (1863) and President Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address are to important impactful remarks of the town. The town also hosts visitors to the Gettysburg National Battlefield in the Gettysburg National Military Park.

Gettysburg National Military Park

The Gettysburg National Military Park protects and interprets the landscape of the 1863 Battle of Gettysburg during the American Civil War. The park was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1966. Many of the park's 43,000 American Civil War artifacts are displayed in the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center. It features a new park Visitor Center, the 24,000 square foot Gettysburg Museum of the American Civil War, a new gallery to display the restored Cyclorama Painting, two theaters for a new 22-minute film.
