This tranquil nature walk takes you into the ancient woods alongside lakes and mystic mires. You'll walk through one of the oldest forests found in Lapland where you will learn about its arctic nature, birds and other wildlife.
Upon arrival you'll get to know more about the finnish home and lifestyle in the Arctic where bush craft skills are a part of everyday life. Birdwatching and plant identification are part of the walk, if you are lucky, you might spot some of the local birds such as the Siberian Jay, Pine Grosbeak and Capercaillie.
You'll also learn about the arctic super foods: berries and fungi and in August/September you can even try your own gathering skills. The walk will end with an open-fire tea or coffee and local snacks in the kota, a finnish bbq hut. It's recommended to bring your own camera and/or binoculars
