Driving from the Inari village to the location you'll see the beautiful landscape of lake Muddus, wilderness area of Muotkatunturi and the river Kettujoki (weather dependent). Upon arrival you'll get to know more about the finnish home and lifestyle in the Arctic where bush craft skills are a part of everyday life.
The snowshoe walk takes you into the ancient woods surrounded by lakes and mystic mires. You'll walk through one of the oldest forests found in Lapland and observe possible animal tracks and nearby feeding birds such as the Siberian Jay and Siberian Tit where you might encounter elks and mountain hares.
You'll also have the opportunity to learn about the importance of snow for the arctic life. Before the transfer back to the Inari village, you'll enjoy an open-fire hot drink and local snacks in the local kota, a finnish BBQ hut. It is recommended to bring your own camera and/or binoculars.
