Start your day with a visit to the mesmerizing white marble Victoria Memorial, built by the British in 1921, modeled on the Taj Mahal. You’ll have the opportunity to stroll along its tree-lined walkways and beautiful gardens. Inside is home to a number of statues of infamous figures including that of Queen Victoria.
To the east of the Memorial, you’ll be able to find St Paul’s Cathedral, one of the most important churches of India with its impressive stained-glass windows. Continue on to the National Library in the stately Belvedere House which actually has the largest collection of books in India.
There will also be a visit to the Indian Museum which is the largest in the country with sections of Art, Archaeology, Anthropology, Geology, Zoology, and Industry, all waiting for you to explore!
