What to expect

Discover the magical area of Sunderbans, the world's largest mangrove forest in the Delta. Containing areas which are declared UNESCO Sites, be prepared to have a wonderful day surrounded by nature and exciting animals.

You will be taken by common boat on sharing basis from Kolkata to Gothkhali and a day of exploring awaits. The wildlife here at the Sunderban is never ending. Being home to the infamous Royal Bengal Tiger, you’d better make sure to keep your eyes peeled … you never know what you might find!

This protected area is home to jungle cats, the axis deer, wild boar, monkeys, not to mention the largest Estuarine crocodiles in the world. With a little luck, you may even be able to see one sunbathing in the mud!

Sunderban is also the breeding ground of an immense variety of birds such as the heron, cormorant and kingfisher, as well as migratory birds such as the sandpiper, golden plover and whistling teal.

A wide variety of aquatic and reptile life forms that include Olive Ridley sea turtle, pythons, the king cobra and lizards also live there. For the nature lovers out there, you really are spoilt for choice.

At the end of the day, you will be taken back to Kolkata.
