Come aboard this Florentine gondola for a romantic and unique cruise on the Arno river! Meet your guide and enjoy a short walk through Piazza Signoria and Piazzale degli Uffizi, admiring the Ponte Vecchio bridge from the bank all the way through to the pier.
Get on board the “barchetto”, one of the few four original and traditional wooden boats left in Florence, conducted by a “barcaiolo”, who will guide the boat with his long-reaching pole. Your expert guide will unveil the secrets of the Arno river as you sail on its calm waters discovering the history and the beautiful palazzos that frame its ancient riverbed. The commentary is informative but very entertaining and may include a few local stories and anecdotes.
You will pass in front of the Uffizi Gallery, beautiful caretaker of artistic treasures, under the unique Ponte Vecchio bridge and you will also get the chance to learn more about the mysterious Vasari corridor. Discover Santa Trinita bridge and the amazing Palazzo Corsini.
