During the tour, you will learn all about the history of the mathematician and philosopher Galileo Galilei, who, during the reign of Cosimo II de' Medici, exercised his functions at the court of the Grand Dukes of Florence. Inside the museum, there are numerous interesting objects, including the original telescope invented by Galileo and used for his astronomical and scientific studies. You will discover how time, space, and temperature were measured in those years, admiring antique clocks, globes maps, thermometers, and the original Nocturnal by Girolamo della Volpaia from 1568.

You will also have the chance to see the original Santucci's Armillary Sphere from 1593. You will learn about optics and electrostatics, and you will have fun discovering the games of the past, fun and fascinating for both adults and children.
