What to expect

If you only have one free day in Florence and you wish to visit the top attractions of its wonderful surroundings, this is the right day trip for you. You'll travel to Pisa and see the famous Leaning Tower in the morning, and spend the afternoon discovering the beautiful scenery, the rolling hills and delicious wine of Tuscany.

Meet your tour leader in the morning for our first stop: Pisa. After a historical introduction, you'll have some free time to explore the famous Square of Miracles at your own pace. Access the Cathedral for free and, if you feel brave, climb the Tower to enjoy spectacular views of the square from the top.

Get back to Florence where you will grab a bite before meeting up again with the other travelers for an exciting afternoon in the famous Chianti region. Reach the first stop by minivan in less than an hour: a winery set inside a historic castle in the heart of Chianti surrounded by cypresses, olive trees and vineyards. After a guided tour of the old cellars, you will taste delicious wines produced locally, such as the renowned Chianti Classico paired with excellent extra virgin olive oil on typical bruschetta.

After a short ride, you'll reach a second local winery, a family-run business, and find out that small wine producers can make amazing wine too. You will learn how the grapes and olives are harvested by hand and taste the result of the farmers' hard work during this authentic experience.
