Enjoy the full-day guided tour of Vesuvius and Pompeii following the "Autostrada del Sole" through the fertile Roman countryside, the Castelli Romani. Cross the valley of Mount Vesuvius, and, once in Herculaneum, board a fun open bus that will climb Mount Vesuvius until it reaches around 1000m. There, meet the naturalistic guide (only in English language), for a regenerating and cultural walk of about an hour, in the Vesuvian park (the crater is not included). At the end of it, a pleasant break awaits you at the Pompeii restaurant for a delicious pizza, dessert, and soft drink.

In the early afternoon, meet your local guide to visit the stunning Pompeii excavations. The guide will explain Pompeii's tragic history from an archaeological perspective and uncover what has lain beneath the ashes. Afterward, on the way back to Rome, stop in the city of Torre del Greco to visit a coral and cameo factory, where you can admire and purchase items of the ancient craft that date back to Greek times.
