Visit a colonial-era St. George's Anglican church built in 1816 and a must-see on your list of places to visit. See Kapitan Keling Mosque which is also a cultural center that showcases the culture and history of the Indian Muslim community as they play a big part in Penangites' lifestyles overall. The next stop is a Chinese temple called the Goddess of Mercy Temple (Kuan Yin Teng).

You'll also tour Burmese and Thai Buddhist temples. The temples face each other with peace and have beautiful architecture to admire. Last but not least Sri Mahamariamman Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in Penang, Malaysia. It has been standing there, in the same spot, for 200 years.
