What to expect

The Dutch Glory tour takes you to the charming fishing village of Urk to see its white lighthouse, explore the bridges and canals of Giethoorn then visit the picturesque Hansa town of Hattem, where you can admire a medieval town gate and a working windmill.

Begin your tour in Urk. This used to be an island before the manmade province of Flevoland was created. Wander through the streets on your own to see the characteristic white lighthouse, the small church by the sea and the monument that honors the fishermen who sailed out but never came home again.

Next, travel to Giethoorn is located, commonly called the 'Venice of the North'. This unique village consists of numerous waterways, bridges and farmhouses. here you can choose from a range of things to do: go on a cruise, rent your own boat or just walk from bridge to bridge in this water village.

Your final destination is Hattem. Located in the province of Gelderland it is one of the country’s best kept secrets! Hattem is 800 years old and has a history which is still clearly visible today. Admire the Dijkpoort (the old entrance gate to the town), St Andrews Church and the townhall.
