What to expect

In the morning your guide will either pick you up at the preferred location or meet you at the meeting point. You will be given a warm welcome with a cup coffee or tea and our guide will explain on the map how the day will look like. After this short briefing you will head towards the location were the boat will pick you up and bring you to the UNESCO world heritage site of Kinderdijk.

The boat trip takes about 30 minutes and it is an attraction in itself and will show you Rotterdam and its outskirts. Once in Kinderdijk you will discover this beautifull site by bicycle (or walking if you can’t ride a bicycle) and also visit a traditional windmill. After enjoying you stay in Kinderdijk you will take the boat back to Rotterdam.

Once back in Rotterdam you will recharge your energy levels and have some Dutch traditional food for lunch. You will have a look at the renewed Rotterdam central station, visit the largest rooftop garden of Europe, visit the old town hall that survived World War II and go towards the Binnenrotte, where the main architectural highlight of Rotterdam are located. You will visit the oldest building in Rotterdam, the Laurenchurch, have some food in de Martkhal and go inside a real cubehouse.

After that you will escape the city center and move towards the traditional Rotterdam neighbourhood of Delfshaven. Here you will visit a local baklava shop, and an old beer brewery. The contrast between the city centre and the suburbs is big and therefore really enjoyable. After you finish your visit at the beer brewery you will visit the Euromast a 185 meter (607 ft) high needle shaped building were you will enjoy the view of the city of Rotterdam. After enjoying the view you will have dinner at the Witte de Withstraat, one of the most vibrant streets of Rotterdam. The tour is finishes after dinner. You will be brought back to your hotel or to the drop off point.
